Ministry Update from Pastor Yatta

Dear Friends,
Paul says in Romans 10:1, that my prayer and heart desire for Israel is that it might be save.
So my prayer and heart desire for Sierra Leone is that it might be save, it might come out of
calamities, for Sierra Leone to rise again.For God to raise godly Leaders in this Nation.
Our THEME this year is” Challenge for Soul Winning” to bring people to Christ. As you know
70% of our populations are Muslims. But God has place before open doors for ministry in this
country for which we are grateful
THANKS …………..
Very grateful to God for the Re opening of the schools in the Ebola period. Many children
got pregnant during this period. the children stay home for over a year not going to school.
Thank God for the two school we have in kono …. even though the number of children in the
schools cut down most of the children whose parent where affected where not able to
come back to school. Some of the children change location during the Ebola epidemic and has
not come back to school.
I am also happy that this school year is also coming to an end as they are all taking their final
exams now. The school year was adjusted. The new school year start in January instead of September
22 children took the National Primary School Examination from St. Andrews – Meama, and about 40
in Mechette, all awaiting result. we pray for urge success. It’s a joy to see them going to secondary schools.
Thank God for the Church – In our last Senior Council meeting we put together activities plan for the year
2015/16. The mission is growing God is doing amazing things in our midst. God has also help to construct
a church in one village in Codema. Money was raise in the churches to buy cement and zink for the roofing
almost completed.
We are also grateful that EBOLA is coming to an End, Come Saturday 7th. Nov Sierra Leone
will be declare EBOLA FREE after 42 days with no new case. Everybody is looking forward to
that day. what a joyful day that will be.
19th. December Sports Life is organizing a very big Jog for Jesus, to bring people from Churches,
sports clubs, organizations, school to come and be part of the jogging, in raising the banner of Jesus
HIGH, HIGH, HIGH.

PRAYERS……..
1. Sierra Leone experience last September heavy Flooding in this country, about 6 cities where affected.
several people died and thousands are now homeless. they are living at the National Stadium. Please
pray for wisdom for the Government it it Re Location Plan.
2.Pray that Ebola will finally come to an end in this country.
3.Please pray for the schools as the school year is short, only two terms instead of three. For the churches commitment to help the children.
4. Sports Life as we are starting the school program again after the declaration of the end of Ebola for open doors.
5. For God’s grace for the pastors even though things are difficult let the passion don’t die.
6. For Traveling mercies as we move up and down the road of Kono and Makeni
7. Pray for the Mission Team for Vision and Team work

CM3SL celebrates its 17th year

Dear All,

C3SL MISSION would be 17 years next month 6 September. The Good Lord has brought us thus far and has done marvelous things in our midst. Becaus of the Ebola crises in the country nothing was plan. But all the same we have decided to do a thanksgiving service down here in Freetown on the 13th.September. Pastor marcarthy will becoming down with some pastor from Kono andh he will be the preacher for the occasion. We have planned three days Revival. On Sunday which is the 13th we would serve food to the congregation. Celebrate in a low key. We hope next year few of you will join us. You are our partners and Church Family members.

Pastor marcarthy will be coming down with some pictures to send to you to update the website after the service I am going with him to Kono to take more pictures for reporting purposes and update.

Any assistance to the celebration will be very much applicable. Please join us in prayers as we continue to plan and look aheadfor our next move.

HEAVY STORM

Dear Friends,

I began to see that what is happening in Sierra Leone is spiritual. We have overtaken both Guinea and Liberia by far – Also they have been able to put the virus control. While new cases keep coming up everyday in Sierra Leone. Over 8000 people have been affected with the virus in Sierra Leone since the outbreak and many have died that have not been reported. The WHO said in a statement on Wednesday that over 11 days in Kone East of the country – Two burial teams have buried 87 bodies including a nurse an ambulance driver and a janitor drafted into removing bodies as they pile up. As we all know that bodies of Ebola victims are highly infectious and safe burial are crucial in preventing the transmission of the disease. The response Team also found 25 people who have died in the past 5 days pile in cordoned section of the local hospital.

Doctors, Nurses, Burial Teams and Lab technicians are all exhausted and some times run out of resources. Kono have about 400.000 people and have reported 119 cases up to 9th Dec. it is alarming.

The Government have decided to put Kono District on ”Lock Down” from 10th – 23re Dec.to try and contain the out break of the disease. During this time no one is allowed to go in and out of Kono. Our heart is there with our pastors and teams

New cases keep coming up in Freetown, Urban and Rural, Potloko, and Makeni. We are praying and hopping that Government will take necessary steps that will free Sierra Leone from this deadly virus that will return the country to normalcy. Thank you for your continue supports.

School have still not been open because of the virus. some parent have to hire teachers to help their children at home even that is risky. In all of it i know God is still in control as we go through this Storm.

PRAYERS…..

1. Pray specifically for Kono the diamond area that where badly affected by the rebel war. That this Virus war come under control in their district.

2. That God provide for the lock Down that they will be able to have food

3.For the Health workers.

4. For parent to know what to do with their children at this time – some have got pregnant.

5. pary for the churches to continue to stand together and to have a voice.

New Confirm cases

Ministry of Health today announce 53 new confirm cases. Doctors in

sierra Leone are working to start their own clinic trial using the blood of

the Ebola survivors to speed up the search for a cure for the disease which

has so far kill more than 5,000 people from West Africa. The trial is organize

by a global group of sierra Leone medics. Over 200 survivors has registered

that are ready and willing to donate their blood – They are hopping to receive

equipment from an American medical devices firm. Scientist believe that the

antibodies in the blood of people who have recovery from the disease will help

other patient fight the infection. The founder of the group Ahmed Tejan Sie a clinical

assistance professor in the University of North Carolina said volunteers donors

will be screened for HIV, hepatitis, syphilis and other decease that will exclude them

from the trial. This trial will take place at Hastings near Freetown at the Ebola treatment center.

Felix one of the 165 cuban who came to help fight the Ebola has been diagnose

to be positive and will be sent to Genever for treatment , we pray that the good

Lord Heal him. The Netherlands are here to support the fight against Ebola. Germany Lufthasa airlines on behalf of the German government is transforming

one of their A340 air plane into an Air Ambulance to airlift patients from West

Africa Many things going on at this time. what works we don’t know.

Cry of help from Pastor Yatta Samura

Tony Blair visit

The former British prim minister Toni Blair yesterday visited

president Ernest Bai Koroma at state house. Mr. Toni Blair who is a friend of

President Erenest Bai Koroma and the people of Sierra Leone is

on a day visit to assess the situation since the outbreak of Ebola and

what can be done in terms addressing the post social and economic recovery

Toni also met with senior staff of the office of the president including

the secretary, chief of staff and the personal assistant to the president.

Cabinet ministers, the British Medical teams. His schedule is tight with consultation with with both members of Government and the UN Development partners..

Toni love this nation – during the war he sent a team for intervention.

I am happy that our concern have started to be looked into. What happen

after the fight against Ebola – Sierra Leone has really gone down

as everything is at a stand still. We continue to pray for him for grace to do more

for this nation to rise from the dust.

Sierra Leone to improve

Dear Friends,

Please keep praying, i really don’t know what is happening to Sierra Leone.

Guinea and Liberia is getting better while Sierra Leone is getting worse,

A week ago the new confirm cases came down to 40 but this few days it has gone

111 and today is 94. new cases. As i am talking we have lost an other Doctor

last week and another one has contracted the disease and now admitted in one of

the Ebola centers. There are many challenges in the fight against Ebola in this country

1. Is with quarantine houses and towns, a house where some body get affected

or die that house will be quarantine for 21 days where nobody in that building

is allowed to move out. The challenge is food, they want something to eat

and sometimes they will have to go out which is dangerous that is how they get other

people affected. Because the are to wait

2. Dead Ebola victims – People are not suppose to touch dead bodies as the virus

is looking for a way out of the dead to another body. that is why we have the burial team that is their jobs. People still want to perform tradition. It has been a very serious problem.- many people are getting affected by that

3. Holding Centers – The place where suspected cases are kept until their

test result arrive. some get affected in those centers. But thank God the British

and building centers that can take care of that now.

4. Test Laboratory – Thank God it has also improved, the Chinese have erected and the British has also set up others.so now test and result come out in few hours rather than the 5-6 days it was taking to get test result. The American medical team has set up centers so are those from Cuba and the African Union.Every body is on board we shall conquer this virus in Jesus Name.

5. We see it now as money making rather than helping the people of Sierra Leone. Not much Agriculture was done this year so there is Hunger all around. and the country has come to a stand still. Not much coming in to the country so the prize of food has gone way up. we are expecting WFP to provide food.This is the other virus in the country now. Guys you need to help us with that.My churches and Sports Teams are looking up to me in that regard.- whatever will go a grate way.

6. The precautions – we are advise not to shake hand, people are still doing it.all pubs, clubs and crowded places are to remain close until further notice. As we are under state of Health emergency. that is why all school, university and business remain close. The use of chlorine and sensitizers are encourage.

I am reporting to you with mix feelings, two of my relative will be discharge – This also we have to buy and help our people to have the materials to take the necessary precaution. Tomorrow from the Hastings Ebola Centers, they survive the virus but one died. Over 40 will be discharge tomorrow even though some of them died.Kabala was one of those place that was not affected since the brake of the virus. It seem to be spading fast since it get there – they where so vex that they start burning houses where affected person is found of died. The most affected city now is Freetown whee i am we are all afraid of our selves where ever we met because you are not sure of people. we need to come out of this, we are tired life is becoming very difficult, It is so difficult for people to move out of the country or to get anything done.All our programs for this year is on hold. People are getting frustrated.. Thank you for your prayers and supports

But i am sure of one thing that God is still in control, his finger is on the button.

AFTER EBOLA WAR (from Yatta)

Dear Prayer Partners,

God has started showing us how it would be after the war on the Ebola virus would have come to an end. We believe that it will soon come to an end even though the confirm affected cases keep going up that is why we value your prayer to say no to the devil what has happened to us as a nation may the good Lord turn it for our good because ALL THINGS work together for good for those who love him.

I read some thing in the news paper few days ago that really turn me off – a family of about eight staying in the same house get affected with the virus they stayed in the house without going to the hospital, they became very sick and started dying one after the other leaving two little girls behind – four years old was looking after the two years old only them in the house suffering from hunger.The most pathetic thing was that people where afraid to touch them so no body dare to help them They have now be taken to the hospital, i pray that God deliver them.

The hospital in Hastings close to freetown had over 40 people survive the virus and are discharge from the hospital. Among them are two months baby that contracted the disease in her mother womb, 2 years of age but lost the mother, ten years lost his elder brother.

Many parents are dying leaving their children behind with no one to look after them. It is happening all around the country.

The British has set up, the Chinese are working, American and all those that come to help us fight this war of Ebola killing our people.

Few of the sports Life Team had a meeting on saturday to discus some of this issue what to do to serve as encouragement and pillar for those children. The Minister of gender is appealing to people and organization to assist. After the war we would love to get involve but we would need to financial assistance..

This is something we have started praying about please join us and lift them up to the Lord Almighty who is able to do far more than what we ask of him.

Ahkom Sierra Leone Update

We’re sad to announce the death of Dr Godfrey George in Sierra Leone. Dr George was based in Kambia, north Sierra Leone, by Guinea. Dr George is the fifth medic to have died of ebola in Sierra Leone.

On a happier note, we’ve received a positive reply from the PM to the first letter sent to Downing Street at the time of the first ebola march. David
