In Pastor Yatta’s cry from Sierra Leone this past week he says he is tired of counting, tired of crying and tired of reporting the loss of precious lives.
He also writes, “we thank God for individuals and organization who continue to help with food. As people continue to stay home that is what they need – food.” Please pray that the good Lord will continue to provide so people will stay home to avoid contracting the disease. The sensitization and Awareness in the country is growing now as the president himself is moving around talking to them. Thank you for standing with us during this difficult period in our Nation.”
So for those of you wishing to donate to the Ebola crisis in Sierra Leone we can pass on your gifts direct to Pastor Yatta who is helping to distribute food in Freetown and beyond to all affected by the Ebola crisis. Donating is made simple via the donate button below.
With sincere thanks

Dear Prayer Partners,
God has started showing us how it would be after the war on the Ebola virus would have come to an end. We believe that it will soon come to an end even though the confirm affected cases keep going up that is why we value your prayer to say no to the devil what has happened to us as a nation may the good Lord turn it for our good because ALL THINGS work together for good for those who love him.
I read some thing in the news paper few days ago that really turn me off – a family of about eight staying in the same house get affected with the virus they stayed in the house without going to the hospital, they became very sick and started dying one after the other leaving two little girls behind – four years old was looking after the two years old only them in the house suffering from hunger. The most pathetic thing was that people where afraid to touch them so no body dare to help them They have now be taken to the hospital, i pray that God deliver them.
The hospital in Hastings close to freetown had over 40 people survive the virus and are discharge from the hospital. Among them are two months baby that contracted the disease in her mother womb, 2 years of age but lost the mother, ten years lost his elder brother.
Many parents are dying leaving their children behind with no one to look after them. It is happening all around the country.
The British has set up, the Chinese are working, American and all those that come to help us fight this war of Ebola killing our people.
Few of the sports Life Team had a meeting on saturday to discus some of this issue what to do to serve as encouragement and pillar for those children. The Minister of gender is appealing to people and organization to assist. After the war we would love to get involve but we would need to financial assistance..
This is something we have started praying about please join us and lift them up to the Lord Almighty who is able to do far more than what we ask of him.
Stay Blessed
Yatta Samura
We’re sad to announce the death of Dr Godfrey George in Sierra Leone. Dr George was based in Kambia, north Sierra Leone, by Guinea. Dr George is the fifth medic to have died of ebola in Sierra Leone.
On a happier note, we’ve received a positive reply from the PM to the first letter sent to Downing Street at the time of the first ebola march. David
KICK OUT EBOLA FROM SIERRA LEONE
On Wednesday 29th October “Concerned Sierra Leoneans UK”, (CSL-UK), a newly formed Umbrella Organization for Sierra Leonean organizations in the UK, led a march of a few hundred persons to Downing Street to thank the British Government, and British Citizens, for their part in the fight against ebola in West Africa and, specifically, Sierra Leone. The Organization also implored that urgent measures be taken to seek a vaccine. AHKOM HEALTH were part of this march and its Director, David Sandi, part of the Steering Committee which planned it.
The marchers were addressed by Hon Harriet Harman outside Whitehall while five representatives were invited into Downing Street where government officials, among them the Minister of Health, received our “Thank You” letter and other documents.
The march achieved its stated objective and was an overall success.
For its part AHKOM HEALTH will continue to appeal to you all for your generous donations to achieve its own stated goals. Our beneficiaries, by virtue of distance and poor road networks, often miss out on the benefits of general charity giving -hence the need for our own targeted initiative. God bless you all; and stay blessed.
AHKOM
